Apple may be joining the watch business. According to a Feb. 10 New York Times report, Apple is developing a smart watch “in the form of a curved glass device.”
Sources familiar with the company, told The New York Times that Apple is currently experimenting with wristwatch-like devices that would operate on Apple’s iOS platform. The watch will reportedly be distinct from competitors product’s based on Apple’s understanding on how such glass can curve around the human body.
Apple has declined to comment on its plans, but New York Times’ Nick Bilt has a little fun with the story, asking:
“Would it include Siri, the voice assistant? Would it have a version of Apple’s map software, offering real-time directions to people walking down the street? Could it receive text messages? Could it monitor a user’s health or daily activity? How much will it cost? Could Timothy D. Cook, Apple’s chief executive, be wearing one right now, whispering sweet nothings to his wrist?”

At least for now, there are no answers to any of these questions. It is unclear where this soon-to-be fashionista favorite stands in development.
