It seems as if Apple is waging a full out separation from Google. They first cut out the iOS Maps app in June and they are now cutting the extremely popular YouTube app. Lifestyles have become so dependent on technology that Apple and Google are warring over who can offer the best, fastest, and complete services to fit today's needs and wants.
The battle between Apple and Google appears to have begun in August of 2009 when Google's then CEO, Eric Schmidt stepped down from Apple's board.
The following year Steve Jobs, Apple's cofounder claimed that Android was "a stolen product". An all out war was waged against all involved with Google's Android patents. As Samsung's Android phone is fast becoming hot competition for Apples iPhone they are going head to head as the battle is being fought in court. Apple is seeking $2.5 billion in damages, claiming that Samsung illegally copied technology used in Apple's iPhone and iPads.
Lifestyles are being slowed down with an additional step in order to view YouTube on their Apple products.
Instant gratification will no longer be an option to see YouTube videos. Users will now have to open Safari to use YouTube, with hopes that a new YouTube app will become available at the App store in the future.
This could be a new beginning for Apple to develop its own video service.
Perhaps it is time that Apple uses its own brilliant minds to give YouTube some competition. Google will then want to give YouTube an upgrade. Users of both Apple and Android devices could benefit from this battle by having the best video services to choose from.
The conflict between Apple and Android could actually enhance today's lifestyles.
As Apple and Google battle their way to see who comes out on top it is like divorcing parents fighting over who will win over the kids with the best gifts. Consumers will be the winner in this war as finer apps and hot new devices are developed by both companies in hopes of coming out on top.
Apple's Macintosh and Microsoft's Windows have equally survived in today's world pushing each other to strive to be better.
Technology is sure to be propelled even further with the ongoing hi-tech wars.
Imagine the possibilities of a future of watching videos as they are streamed as a hologram from a ring phone. The last century begun before travel by air and automobile was invented and ended with men and women traveling in space to study and conduct tests at a space station. Imagine where this century will take technological advances.
Just as Adam and Eve could not resist taking a bite out of the apple, so is Google's Android. Let us see where this story will take us. Use technology to its best advantage and never be afraid to dance!
