Apple's 13" Macbook shares similar performance features with the Macbook Pro with a 2.26GHz intel Core 2 Duo processor and 2GB memory. That's where similarities end. While the Macbook Pro is made out of aluminum unibody construction, the Macbook still uses a white polycarbonate unibody enclosure - plastic. It is considered the entry-level notebook for the Mac enthusiast.
Geared more towards students, its plastic enclosure is still quite robust. Short of dropping it, or bumping it off a table, it is able to withstand the rigors of daily classroom and office use.
With its built-in gigabit Ethernet, MiniDisplay, two USB 2.0 and audio in/out ports, it's ready to perform out of the box. Simply connect your printer or other device. Drivers are already pre-installed for most peripherals. Should you need to update drivers, check that manufacturer's website for the latest updates.
