About two weeks ago, NMA.tv, the infamous Taiwanese computer-animated news site, announced that Apple had rejected their iPad app. Naturally, they made an animation about it.

This week, NMA.tv announced that Apple has now approved the app and released it in the App Store. A free app, the program includes links to all their news stories alongside daily weather updates from their Weather Girls. Next Media Animation's app is rated

Rated 12+ for the following:

  • Infrequent/Mild Mature/Suggestive Themes
  • Infrequent/Mild Sexual Content or Nudity
  • Frequent/Intense Profanity or Crude Humor
  • Infrequent/Mild Alcohol, Tobacco, or Drug Use or References
  • Infrequent/Mild Cartoon or Fantasy Violence

Initially, the app was dismissed due to it being "defamatory or offensive", NMA contended that other satirical news programs, such as The Daily Show, got in without issue.

The app is free and currently available.
