There are plenty of local farms and orchards within an hour or less of Boston that can give you all of the fall amenities you've been searching for: apple picking, pumpkin picking, pumpkin flavored treats, apple cider, cider donuts, decorative gourds, you name it!

This list is by no means exhaustive, and you might even find that if you head further west you'll get even more orchard with less crowds. A personal favorite of this Budget Traveler is Clearview Farms in Sterling, Ma. and the scenery along the way is sure to please.
