Apple is currently working on what they will present later this month, as Apple fanatics are waiting to see what they have in store. And while the company is waiting to announce features and new products, other players in the industry are introducing everything from smart watches to brand new products. According to a new Mashable report published on Sept. 9, Apple is now facing another competitor when it comes to the much-anticipated smart watch.
Earlier this month, Samsung announced their plans to release a smart watch. It had similar features to those that people predicted Apple would offer. And now, another competitor has introduced a smart watch; Nissan. According to the report, “Nissan will be showing off the device — dubbed the Nissan Nismo Watch — at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It's Nissan's first entry into the world of wearable tech.” It is questionable how well Nissan will do with this new watch, considering the many players on the market. So, Nissan is making it more about how the watch connects with a car.
Mashable has listed a few featues for this new smart watch; it connects to the car using a smartphone app as a Bluetooth Smart device, it can access vehicle telematics and performance data while on the track, it captures biometric data via a heart-rate monitor in the watch, monitores the efficiency of your car with average speed and fuel-consumption readings, and customers can get tailored car messages from Nissan.
Do you feel that Nissan's smart watch provides features that would make you choose this product over Apple or Samsung's smart watches?
