Apple has generated a great deal of interest in plans for a wearable device. USA Today reported on Aug. 27, 2014 Apple plans to reveal a wearable device next month. The unveiling of this new Apple device will come with the release of a new iPhone at a big Apple event in September.

Sources say Apple is planning to unveil two new iPhones at the event along with a wearable device. It has not yet been specified whether the wearable device will be a smartwatch. However, sources claim the device is likely take advantage of Apple's HealthKit suite of fitness and health apps along with the HomeKit of connected device apps.

TechHive has reported Apple's new wearable device is on track for a September debut. The release date for this new device has been moved up from an originally planned date in October. It's premature to call this device an iWatch due to the unclear nature of what it will actually offer. However, it's already beginning to appear this new wearable Apple device may become a must have item for a new generation of people raised in a high tech world.
