Those anxious for Apple iPad Cyber Week 2013 deals still have a few options, though the prices may not be quite as attractive as the Black Friday 2013 options. On Dec. 4 Gotta Be Mobile did a deal round-up, and many are hoping new deals may pop up as Christmas edges closer over the next three weeks.
As Gotta Be Mobile notes, those looking for the absolute best Apple iPad deal should focus on the Apple refurbished inventory available. While “refurbished” may be a red flag with some products, that is not so much the case with Apple. The items have a discounted price, but still have retail packaging, an undamaged product and an Apple warranty for one year.
While inventory fluctuates greatly, Apple iPad deals are regularly available for anywhere from $50 to $120 off the retail price of a traditional unit. An iPad mini typically will start at $249 and the prices go up from there. The iPad 4 is typically about $379 and up. Those aiming to get an iPad Air are probably going to be out of luck with this route for now. Gotta Be Mobile even shares the site Refurb Tracker and suggests that is one great way to make sure you don't miss an opportunity to grab a refurbished Apple product as soon as it becomes available, as inventory can disappear quickly.
Those willing to sign a new contract with a wireless carrier may find some deals yet this month too. Check with Sprint, Verizon or AT&T for their offers, and T-Mobile has been trying to drawn in new customers as well. This route won't work for everybody, as many like the flexibility of turning the WiFi plan on and off depending on their usage.
Best Buy is known for offering some decent open box deals on iPads, though these come without the warranty so check the inventory carefully. Best Buy also has some deals available for a discount on an iPad when you switch some services such as Internet, phone or TV, but be sure to really check the fine print.
Will other solid Apple iPad sales pop up yet before Christmas? It's entirely possible, as retailers will crank up the competition again as the holiday gets a bit closer. However, anybody planning a big promotion has kept it under wraps so far.
