Apple announces WWDC 14 for June 2-6

Apple has finally announced the dates for this year's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which will take place at Moscone West in San Francisco from June 2-6.

The company says that WWDC 14 will feature over 100 sessions and will highlight the future of iOS and OS X.

“We have the most amazing developer community in the world and have a great week planned for them,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “Every year the WWDC audience becomes more diverse, with developers from almost every discipline you can imagine and coming from every corner of the globe. We look forward to sharing with them our latest advances in iOS and OS X so they can create the next generation of great apps.”

Developers can start applying for tickets now via apply for tickets via the WWDC website (developer.apple.com/wwdc) now through Monday, April 7 at 10 a.m. PT, and tickets will be issued to attendees through random selection.

The State of the Union session and the Apple Design Awards will both be live streamed via the conference's website.
