The Apple announcement 2013 is finished, and while there were no major surprises, the company did unveil the new iPhone 5S as expected, according to a Sept. 10 CNET article. The new phone will have a faster A7 processor than the iPhone 5, and it will have a much better camera along with fingerprint security.
Apple accomplished all this without a price hike. The iPhone 5S will still cost $199 with contract for the 16 GB model, which is the same as the previous iPhone release.
The new iPhone 5S camera will have slow motion capabilities. It also has improved features like a bigger sensor, best shot selector from multi-burst, true-tone flash, and image stabilization. The camera was not quite as nice as the iPhone 5S rumors, but it was still a good improvement.
The new M7 chip will also track your health if you own an iPhone 5S. The chip is a "motion coprocessor", which will allow it to integrate more fully with fitness apps. This new feature will be great for people who are trying to track their daily exercise and calories.
In all, this iPhone 5S is not a major overhaul of the smartphone from Apple, but the updates were solid ones. If you do not already have an iPhone, and you are not interested in purchasing an iPhone 5C, then perhaps this iPhone 5S without any price hike is the phone for you.
