If you've been watching “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” you will know how crazy things are between Apollo Nida and Phaedra Parks. Nida allegedly tried to have an affair with Parks' fellow cast mate Kenya Moore. Much of the drama played out on the series. A few months ago the reunion show aired and host Andy Cohen asked Nida about his pending criminal charges regarding fraud and identity theft. According to a July 8 report from TMZ, Apollo Nida received a sentence of eight years in federal prison. The sentence is way shorter than the 30 years he was facing.

Apollo Nida has been featured heavily on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” His explosive marriage to Phaedra Parks was made front and center of various episodes. When the news came out about the texts between Nida and Kenya Moore, Parks went nuts. Who wouldn't if they found out their husband had intentions of cheating? Right now fans are wondering how the sentencing has affected their relationship.

Twitter is usually the place to go when something big happens in the entertainment world. The feeds for “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” have gone nuts with the news of Apollo Nida's sentencing. Nida is not one to keep quiet but his Twitter account hasn't been used since June 8. It looks like his lawyer may have advised him to not say anything at all, especially on social media.

Right now all the details of the sentencing have not yet come to light. Apollo Nida was given a lighter sentence by the judge because he cooperated in the investigation and allowed the police to bust several more suspects. Nida will forever be known as a snitch and in the crowd he runs in, that is not something to be proud of. This announcement ensures that Nida will not be a part of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” anytime soon.
