Phaedra Parks might have cut the purse strings to her spouse, Apollo Nida after the pending alleged charges for fraud. “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” couple have been extremely quiet in their response to allegations and except in court, viewers haven’t heard anything except rumors on how they are surviving and if the couple is still married. On Friday, Apollo Nida started asking fans if they wanted him to speak at conferences, have autograph sessions or be part of any other gigs where he could be paid.
“I'll be at Krave Lounge Tonight in Atl. For all booking inqueries (sic) In or out of state,” tweeted Apollo Nida from his official Twitter account on Friday. Adding a link to his booking agent, the star suggested that people get in touch so he could be part of their programs.
As all of the “Housewives” cast on Bravo know, the cash from being part of the franchise isn’t just about being part of the show. The notoriety of being seen on television offers up a chance for people to invite the stars around the country for conventions and events. Desperate to have someone famous at a convention, these stars can rake in serious money by hanging out a shingle.
As for Apollo Nida, this is the first time he has heavily asked people for engagements and it could be he is strapped for cash. Looking at a dire situation, there is nothing easier than showing up and being paid for standing next to fans and smiling. Phaedra Parks might be the women who is part of the show, but Apollo has made enough of his name he too can cash in on the fame.
