The cast and crew of "Apex Rising," led by director writer James Terriaca of Big Thunder Productions, shot a key scene this Saturday at the Rose Theater in Holbrook, Long Island. The scene showed an important public appearance of the mayor who tells those who have been mostly cured of their zombie condition that their rights are just as important as anyone else's.
The outdoor scene showed protesters expressing their views about sharing their world with former zombies, while the indoor scene was a political speech in a theater that served as an auditorium. There was over one hundred and thirty cast. The energy and passion was palpable. The director has the unique ability to bring actors to the next level creating, an explosive level of passion and enthusiasm to an extreme. This film is a game changer.
At one point, during a break in filming, singer/actor Larry Costa provided entertainment by performing a song. Nice touches like this always make Big Thunder Productions film shoots more enjoyable.
With so much of the movie already complete, Saturday's shoot takes it over the hump and into the home stretch. The goal of being done with the film by the summer looks to be entirely attainable. Look for more updates soon!
