Antonio Silva may get rematch against Cain Velasquez following UFC 156 victory (Video)

According to a Feb. 3 report from Yahoo! Sports, Antonio Silva may have earned himself a rematch against Cain Velasquez following his upset victory over Alistair Overeem at UFC 156.

Silva and Velasquez fought at UFC 146 in May of last year, and the Brazilian was knocked out in the very first round.

However, the stoppage was due mostly to a cut that opened on Silva's forehead. If the cut never would have opened, it would have been a completely different fight.

"[Silva] and Cain Velasquez had just fought recently, but I'm telling you, the way he looked in this fight and what he did to Alistair, maybe we do the [Velasquez-Silva] fight again," White said.

Overeem was a 4-to-1 favorite to beat Silva, but the Brazilian overcame all odds to earn the victory.

"He didn't respect me," Silva said of Overeem. "He talked a lot of [expletive] before the fight. He forgot, the fight is in the cage, not outside of it talking."

Silva threw a verbal pipe bomb at Overeem at the UFC 156 post-fight press conference, as he essentially said that his opponent can't take a punch.

"When he's the one punching, he's a lion," Silva said. "But when he's taking the punches, he's a [kitten]."

No official word yet on who Silva fights next, but a bout against Velasquez makes perfect sense. As for Overeem, perhaps a matchup against Junior dos Santos is in the cards.
