The Arizona Cardinals have added a new man to their defense. On March 20, Yahoo! Sports reported that the NFL team signed Antonio Cromartie to a one-year contract deal. The cornerback comes from the New York Jets, and the Cardinals 'aggressively' pursued the player. That is why he decided to come to Arizona to play. Cromartie also revealed that the team is 'moving in the right direction.' They are now becoming a contender in the NFL.

The New York Jets released Cromartie earlier this month. He was out for 12 weeks last season with a hip flexer, but before that he had only missed one game in four seasons. His injury just needed time to heal. Cromartie said the following about joining the Arizona Cardinals and his injury:

No one knew the outcome of my hip from last year or anything like that. I don't know, but I'm happy where I'm at. Right now, I feel like I'm 100 percent. I've been running around, cutting and doing everything else. I haven't had any problems with it.

Cromartie will join a defense that includes Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu. Cromartie is not the only big addition the Arizona Cardinals have made since free agency started on March 11. They have added wide receiver and kick returner Ted Ginn Jr. and left tackle Jared Veldheer.
