Dec. 3, 2009 - Antoinette Nicole Davis returned to District 12 Cumberland County Courthouse Thursday with a motion to continue. Motion has been entered. However, anyone requesting a motion to continue who is facing a felony must go through a panel process before another court date is released according to the Cumberland County District Attorney's office. Antoinette Davis is facing two felonies and two misdemeanors. No trial date has been set at this time.
When speaking to the District Attorney's office, they assured that when a date is set the information will be released. This process is not active in lower offenses. However, this is a high-profile double felony case and could take days or weeks to reach a trial date.
Antoinette Davis' motion to continue was expected on Dec. 3.

Antoinette Davis has been charged with human trafficking, felony child abuse involving prostitution, filing a false police report, and interfering with an investigation surrounding the death of Shaniya Davis.
Mario McNeill has been charged with first-degree kidnapping, first-degree rape, and first-degree murder in the death of 5-year-old Shaniya Davis.
Mario McNeill is to return from Raleigh's Central Prison to the Cumberland County Courthouse on December 9, 2009. Mario McNeill's motion to continue remains to be seen.
Shaniya Davis was found on November 16, 2009 next to Walker Road hidden in the woods of Lee County, North Carolina. Approximately 250 people, including local authorities, searched for the little girl ever since Antoinette Davis reported her missing a week earlier.
The case against Antoinette Davis is strong. Allegedly, Antoinette Davis allowed Mario McNeill to take Shaniya Davis, her biological daughter, in exchange for money due and sexual transfer. Shaniya Davis' autopsy proved that 5-year-old Shaniya Davis had been raped and murdered on the day she was reported missing.
With the help of a GPS, a Sanford video camera and other substantial leads, Fayetteville police arrested Mario McNeill with Shaniya Davis' murder.
Mario McNeill was already being held in Cumberland County when the murder charges surfaced. Mario McNeill was transfered after appearing in court to Raleigh's Central Prison and placed on suicide watch. For more on that story visit Mario McNeill Enters Raleigh's Central Prison.
Antoinette Davis was also been placed in a safekeeping cell and away from other inmates upon entry into North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women.
There have been no new charges filed against Antoinette Davis, as of yet. The media did not release much information surrounding Davis' Dec 3 court appearance due to the motion to continue.

In one way I am glad this is a high-profile case, because --If ever-- AD and MAM are on the streets again, they won't live to see a lot more of this lifetime. They're on too many peoples' s%it list. AD can buy time like this, b/c she is pregnant, but the baby will be born and she and MAM -And all the other evil people who abused and led Shaniya to her untimely cruel death- will have her day of reckoning. Karma is no joke.

As for Bradley Lockhart, how could anyone even imagine that someone would do something like this--I truly believe in my heart that if he even had the smallest of thoughts that something like this could have happened, he surely would not have let his daughter go anywhere near her mother. The man's anguish is clearly evident, and the guilt he feels for letting Shaniya be with her mother will be something that this poor man has to live with forever--to me, probably worse than the death penalty! As for Anointette and Mario, death is not enough! As a mother of three, I can't begin to wrap my head around this story! A parent's role is to protect and love, not to endanger! The scariest part in the whole story is, who do you trust? It seems that often the most dangerous people are the one's closest to us! How do you protect anyone against that? Shaniya had a pure heart and she trusted someone she knew, how scary is that?

I disagee, there isn't anything fishy about Lockhart! Who could ever imagine a mother would do something like this! There were no obvious signs to this man that she was this crazy! Yah, she had financial troubles and needed his help, and when she couldn't make it, she asked him to raise her for the last 4 years, (seems like a responsisble decision from a parent who can't support a child) so who in their right mind would ever think that she would now resort to prostituting her daughter?
No "justice", I agree with you - Something about BL is fishy. The facts are not adding up. I don't know if he's out in the spotlight drawing publicity in Shaniya's name to circumvent his guilt, to to take attention away from society and law enforcement due to his hand in Shaniya's murder.
QUESTION: Did BL ever contact Shaniya to see how his little girl was doing in the drug-infested filthy trailer AD was at?
And why is BL's other 17 y/o daughter Cheyenne, Shaniya's half-sister, being cared for by BL's friend Tim Allen?
Can BL not take care of HIS OWN kids? Why does he rub his hands clean of the responsiblity?
BL has 6 children with 3 different mothers.
BL was 34 when he got together with AD who was 20 at that time--14 years AD's senior! What is he doing?
It is reported that BL's girlfriends and BL's sister Carey did most of Shaniya's upbringing since Shaniya was 1 y/o.

There is something fishy and off about this whole situation. I am sickened by all parties involved. They all failed a thriving, beautiful little girl. This case has hit especially close to my heart because I work with children. I have seen the justice system fail so many times in the state of Tennessee. I think my last little bit of hope was relying on the fact that maybe in other states the laws were better. I see that is not the case in NC either. I've always joked and stated that people should have to go through a screening process to have children, I'm really starting to believe this statement. I'm listening to the TV at this moment, and I've heard nothing about this child in a week on TV except for her father's bullshit interview on Nancy Grace. This also sickens me. How can a parent, anyone who has any parental instinct be portraying themselves to the American public as trying to gain their 15 seconds of fame and expect us to believe what they're saying? Come on Brad Lockhart.
Lord kows I cried and cried for this little girl. BL ex inlaws are raising his son (BL was married and his wife was killed in a robbery) and they offerred to take shaniya in and BL denied the request (the ex inlaws had seen burn marks on shaniya when she had stayed with her mother before...shaniya told them her grandmother did it). BL had a family friend who is currently raising his 17yr old daughter and they too offered to take in shaniya but once again the offer was denied by BL. I belive BL loved Shaniya but he is partially to blame for all of this. BL had two good homes to give Shaniya to but he didn't, instead he sent her to that hell hole. For crying out loud when police went inside the trailer the place was leaking sewage...didn't BL know what conditions he was sending his daughter to and why didn't he check? When you have sorry ass parents you get sorry ass results. Shaniya would have fit perfectly with my family no questions asked because she looks just like us.
I cant express AGAIN how deeply sad I am over this. I wish they will hurry UP and make us all happy and charge this loser with murder and get her out of safe watch. Her and McNasty. Who care if they off themselves. Maybe if our justice system was like in those third world countries,it would be so many of these type of cases!!!!

Mr Lockhart was irresponsible at best! I'm sure it was traumatic enough for Shaniya to move into that horrible environment after living in a nice and safe home, let alone the unsavory element she was exposed to. As a father, I can't imagine uprooting a child in that way. I think a little common sense would have let him know that was the WRONG decision. I understand that Mr Lockhart is hurting over the loss of Shaniya, but I hold him VERY responsible for putting her in that situation to begin with. This can't be undone, but I hope the impact of Shaniya's ordeal will effect other partents decision making when it comes to the protection of their children. Our society is dangerous enough, why make it worse? Shaniya was let down by many people, beginning with MR LOCKHART.
I can't help but think that AD and MM are in jail ... They aren't going anywhere anytime soon. No going on with their lives to start anew. Their pathetic lives as they knew it is OVER! But there are others who played a role in this tragedy even if they did not mean for the tragedy to happen they had some responsibility.
The former FIL told it. Ex gf Ty was there and things were going good. New gf (the blond) comes on the scene and Ty is gone. Soon Shaniya is gone too for good. Even if she wasn't abused and killed it was by BL own mouth that it was timefor AD to be a mom. Shaniya was out! I can't help but wonder if the new gf had anything to do with BL decision let his little girl go to live with a woman who had trouble in the pas and who Shaniya barely knew. Even if TA or BC got the opportunity to care for Shaniya for this trip the responsibility for her would still be on his shoulders. I have no sympathy for mom, however, does anyone find it strange that she so called sold her daughter into prostitution then calls and reports her missing on the same day?? It sounds more like the mother was under duress to hand her over and when she felt "safe" again called the cops to try and get her daughter back safely by hatching the story. It just doesnt make sense that if she was "tricking" her daughter out, that she would call the cops right after the man apparently took her and was seen on tape. She may have owed a drug debt and was forced to hand her over with a gun to her head, who knows, the man was no stranger to violence. In any even I hope justice is swift for Shaniya and the mother tells the full truth of what was going on in that trailer and just how she came into this mans clutches..
I dont think anything is wrong with Brad, hes a baby maker not a "father" and there are MANY MANY like him out there. I don't know a whole lot about him but I definitely dont think had he had an inkling of what his daughter was in for she would have been sent there. Yes, Brad, Cary all dropped the ball for whatever reasons but I know in my heart they didn't think it would come to death for Shaniya......Punishment has already been received by them both as they will live with this HUGE ERROR for the REST OF THEIR LIVES!!!!

yes yes were was bl and the aunt why didnt she say let me walk you in shaniya why didnt they have reguler vist with her or call her everday it would of only took them five minutes to call and say shaniya your ok how was school today or something so it would of been nothing to check on her he knew she had a past so he should of still kept a eye on her on the real and why didnt the school call him or the aunt and tell them she was missing so many days i just dont understand and the man had a daughter of his own how would he feel if somebody did that to his daughter or would he care
