The Seahawks already have a strong secondary that includes Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman. It seems they'd like to add another top tier corner to the mix.
On April 7, 2013, Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that cornerback Antoine Winfield will visit the Seahawks this week. Winfield has been with the Vikings for most of his career and recently has been primarily covering slot receivers. This is exactly what the Seahawks would use Winfield for.
The Vikings are reportedly still interested in Winfield, but have not been able to agree to a deal at this point. Winfield has also visited with the Redskins earlier this offseason, but with the return of Deangelo Hall to the roster a signing may not happen.
If the Seahawks are able to sign Winfield, they will have a very strong secondary and a very hard hitting corner in Winfield. They would be able to use him sparingly to keep him healthy and fresh. The Seahawks would also have on of the most entertaining defenses in the NFL and one of the best secondaries in the NFL.
