America's Next Top Model winner Whitney Thompson stole the win for plus-size model and she's taking on the rest of the growing market full of models like Crystal Renn.

PRADA says opera cast members too curvy for fashion designs

"Don't give up," she suggested on what to say to aspiring plus-size models in an interview with Forever 21. "It's a really hard industry and people are always going to try to bring you down," she says.

And much like award-winning Precious actress Gabourey Sidibe, Thompson spins the negative comments into positive energy.

Crystal Renn refers to her past experiences in the modeling industry

"Use that as ammo," she says. "Make the negative into a positive, and perservere! Like my father always says, living well is the best revenge!"
