As of Jan 4, Anthrax is out one guitarist.

Rob Caggiano, Anthrax guitarist of 12 years has decided to relinquish his duties to focus more on producing albums for other artists. Since 2001, Caggiano has produced albums for many different artists, including Cradle of Filth, Life of Agony and the Batman: Arkham City original game soundtrack - which he also shared composing and engineering credits.

"This is an extremely difficult and emotional decision for me to make, but my heart is just steering me in a different direction right now," he said. "I've always been one to follow my heart in everything that I do and while this might be one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, it feels like the right one for me at this time."

Anthrax is still set to play on the upcoming "Metal Alliance Tour," which they will headline. The band has several replacements in mind and will announce the replacement in the near future.

I enjoy writing about music - predominately heavy metal. I am always interviewing bands at their shows and reviewing albums. A strong supporter of local music, as well as a fellow chucker. I play bass and sing for the NY/NJ crossover thrash band Zamboni and have booked my own shows several times...
