Singer/Songwriter Anthony Evans releases his second Christian Adult Contemporary single and new music video today for the track, "I Found You," off his chart-topping album Real Life/Real Worship. "I Found You," which Evans co-wrote with Dove Award-wining songstress Cindy Morgan, is Evan's highest debuting single on the Billboard Christian Hot AC chart securing the #26 spot for the week of July 14, 2014.
The eye-catching companion cross-format music video for the song "I Found You" premieres on Anthony's YouTube and Vevo pages, CCM Magazine's site, Spark Networks, Spirit TV, Elev8.com, and more CCM and gospel websites. See below for a full list of online premiere partners.
Filmed on the streets and rooftops of picturesque downtown Los Angeles, "I Found You" marks a significant break from convention-lyrically, musically, and visually-for the seasoned singer-songwriter. "When I moved to Los Angeles, I came into contact with people who I found I connected with on deep levels of truth and inspiration," says Evans. "They inspired me to see truth from a perspective that wasn't the norm for me. I want us to open our eyes and know that there are lessons to be learned outside of 'our box.'"
One of these inspirational people happened to be EDM music producer, Max Stark, who Evans met during a fortuitous encounter, and whom Evans eventually hired to produce not one, but 10 songs on the album. Stark infused Evans' music with driving beats and synth music fit for a club, to create an exceptional musical twist on Evans' more traditional gospel sound.
"This experience gave me a new understanding and appreciation for authenticity," explains Evans. "I didn't want to keep doing the same thing over and over again, so I opened myself up to new experiences. I realized that we can all embrace incredible new things and still be authentic on a personal and spiritual level-perhaps more so than we ever thought possible. Sometimes it takes real life experience to understand the deeper meaning of real worship."
Singer-songwriter Anthony Evans was Team Christina's fan favorite on The Voice Season 2. NBC's director of casting was so impressed with Anthony's musical abilities that she hired Anthony as talent producer for the show after Season 2 ended. As talent producer, Anthony is currently touring the country seeking fresh new talent for the upcoming season of the hit reality show.
