Anthony Bourdain, host of the Travel Channel’s, “No Reservations” is coming to Norfolk on Sunday, February 13th. Bourdain, know best for his disdain for the Food Network and his off the cuff humor about the food industry, is taking his experiences (and opinions) all over the country including a stop at Chrysler Hall.
Bourdain’s Travel Channel show, “No Reservations” takes him across the globe in search of new food and cultural traditions. Foodies use the show as a culinary wish-list for future travels. Others are simply enraptured by his sheer excitement to eat and drink whatever’s offered – seriously, he ate that?!
In addition to his hit television show, Anthony Bourdain is also quite the writer. Author of such New York Times bestsellers, Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly,A Cook’s Tour, and most recently, Medium Raw: A Bloody Valentine to the World of Food and People Who Cook. There’s no such thing as sugar coating in Bourdain’s world, his relentless tirades have earned him the title of “the bad boy of cuisine”.
So, what can one expect of this one-man show? Everything from Sandra Lee to vegetarians and food poisoning is up for grabs. In addition to whatever rant or advice Bourdain has to offer, attendees can also participate! Any fan easily has a laundry list of questions to ask him, and on Sunday, Anthony Bourdain would be more than happy to answer them – so come prepared.
