Anthony Bourdain, Bizarre Foods new to DVD

Travel Channel shows Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern (which airs in Canada on Discovery World HD) and Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (which airs in Canada on Discovery Channel) recently released new DVD volumes, on January 4, 2011.

Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern Collection 4 Part 2 features culinary adventures with an iron stomach, as he seeks out the world's most bizarre foods, like freshly-roasted pack rat, red ant larvae, or stewed cow udders. The set, with 13 episodes, has an $24.98 SRP, and runs 563 minutes, it's currently available in stores and online.

Disc 1 features the episodes from Seoul, South Korea, Texas, Puerto Rico, and the Survival Special; in the Outback, he searches from crocodile eggs, and in Texas, rattlesnakes. Disc 2 selections are Mongolia, Arizona, and the Kids Special; in the Thailand episode, he gathers dung beetles. Disc 3 includes Tokyo, Bangkok, Baja Mexico, and Buenos Aires.

Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations Collection 5 Part 2 is the newest disc issued for the series. The series, which premiered in 2005, follows Bourdain as he travels the world to experience local culture and cuisine. This set ranges from Vietnam and Sardinia, to street food in New York City's outer boroughs. Along with 11 episodes, three shorts from webseries Anthony Bourdain’s Alternate Universe are included. Total runtime of 485 minutes, and $24.98 SRP, the set will be released January 18, 2011.

Released through “lifestyle media” company Gaiam, which also released Animal Planet and Discovery Channel shows.
