Anthony Bartkowski OUT as USA Boxing Executive Director

After being named USA Boxing Executive Director back in February of 2011 (by then USAB President Harold Adonis and the USAB Board of Directors), sources confirm Anthony Bartkowski, after just over 3 years in that position, was relieved of those duties last week by current USAB President, Dr. Charles Butler.

The Bartkowski termination comes on the heels of WSB USA Knockouts assistant coach Todd Harlib released just prior to a scheduled USA vs Cuba WSB boxing match, the Florida State Athletic Commission stepping in to bring that event to a grinding halt.

The issue of WSB Boxers' eligibility (whether the event was involving professional boxers facing amateur boxers) seemingly the major issue for Florida Boxing Commissioners, the reasoning for the termination of Harlib (a prominent figure in Florida amateur boxing) rather vague as does the removal of Bartkowski.

The search for a new USAB Executive Director has begun, with no immediate timetable for completion.
