Anthem the Libertarian Film Festival Announces Call for Submissions

Anthem The Libertarian Film Festival opens its call for submissions for the 2012 festival slated on July 11 to 14, 2012 at Bally's Las Vegas.

Festival Categories

The film categories for the 2012 festival are as follows: U.S. Narrative Features (at least 41 minutes running time and at least 51% of the film's funds come from U.S. sources); U.S. Documentary Features (at least 41 minutes running time and at least 51% of the film's funds come from U.S. sources); International Narrative Features (at least 41 minutes running time, at least 51% of the film's funds come from non-U.S. sources, and must have English subtitles for foreign-language work); International Documentary Features (at least 41 minutes running time, at least 51% of the film's funds come from non-U.S. sources, and must have English subtitles for foreign-language work); Narrative Shorts (U.S. or foreign film under 41 minutes running time and with English subtitles if a foreign-language work); and Documentary Shorts (U.S. or foreign film under 41 minutes running time and with English subtitles if a foreign-language work).

Deadlines and Fees

The festival's deadlines and the applicable registration fees are as follows: Earlybird Deadline (January 27, 2012) costs $20; Late Deadline (March 30, 2012) costs $35; WAB Extended Deadline (April 30, 2012) costs $60 WAB. Filmmakers who apply and submit via the WithoutaBox platform are entitled to an entry fee discount of $5 per submission for the Earlybird Deadline and Late Deadline. Those submitting by the WAB Extended Deadline get $15 discount per submission.

Awards

Filmmakers with selected works will vie for the following festival awards: Best Film for each of the categories U.S. Narrative Feature, U.S. Documentary Feature, International Narrative Feature, and International Documentary Feature, Short Drama, Short Comedy, Short Documentary; Special Jury Prize for Excellence in Filmmaking for each of the categories Narrative Feature, Documentary Feature, Short Drama, and Short Comedy; Special Jury Prize for Libertarian Ideals for each of the categories Narrative Feature, Documentary Feature, Short Drama, Short Comedy, and Short Documentary; Audience Choice Awards for each of the categories Narrative Feature, Documentary Feature, and Short Film; Grand Jury Special Presentation; and PRI Prize for Excellence in Filmmaking and Libertarian Ideals.
