The Antelope Valley Community Youth Court is having juror training today, June 11 from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. The training will take place at Lancaster City Hall, Council Chambers. The city shows its concerns for the residence of Lancaster by having a wonderful program that caters to their youths of the future. If a misdemeanor is committed by a young person 12-17 years old and meet the requirements for the program itself, they will be referred to the youth court either by the school or parent. In order for sufficient jurors to be placed on such cases within the community youth court, training is essential. During the juror training, a mock trial is performed. The potential jurors will play the role of the offender, parent and juror.
All court cases will start at 3:30 p.m. For more information, please contact Jim Kobolt at (661)723-6059.
Lancaster Stay-at-Home mothers the youth court is a perfect opportunity to expose the future generation to what is in store for them as it relates to jury service, or pursuing a career within the judicial system. Is there any reason for these moms to stay home while so many outstanding activities await them and their families in the City of Lancaster?
