According to Digital Trends on Jan. 24, with the delay of Zack Snyder's "Batman vs. Superman" release date, Marvel Studios took action to move into the old time slot that DC Comics once had. Edgar Wright's "Ant-Man" is now scheduled for July 17, 2015. The film is suppose to mark the beginning of Marvel's phase three plans and though there isn't much to reveal that far ahead into the future, a "Doctor Strange" film had been mentioned in passing.
With a lot of pre-production activities currently in progress, the main characters that had been cast for the film are Hank Pym, as played by actor Michael Douglas, and current Ant-Man, Scott Lang, as played by Paul Rudd.
Teaser images have already been put in place to give an idea of what to expect such as a shot of Ant-Man from behind and also a suggestion that there may be multiple Ant-Man characters to support the comic book's version of the characters revolving door of alter egos.
The two characters are already two of said egos, one that had already been Ant-Man and the current one. That being said, this does give some insight into the plot of the "Ant-Man" project.
