From the mind of Jack Kirby, the Marvel comic book “Ant-Man” is coming to theaters in 2015.
Joe Cornish is behind the script-writing task and Edgar Wright will be directing “Ant-Man.” Cornish is a British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) nominee. Cornish took “Ant-Man” from his adapted screenplay written by himself and Edgar Wright.
When Dr. Hank Pym discovers a cluster of subatomic particles, he goes straight to work. Hours in his lab produces a size-changing formula. The mad biochemist tries the formula on himself and much to his dismay it doesn’t turn out so well. As the test goes awry, his mad-scientific mind develops a fun gadget – an instrument that allows him to speak to and control insects.
Now the biochemist shrinks himself down to insect-size and works as the head-ant. The instruments he has designed are integrated into the suit and helmet.
The cast isn’t in place as of yet, however, there is a rumor of Nathan Fillion (Castle) taking the role of Hank Pym or Ant-Man.
With the filming of “Ant-Man” already in gear since January, the release date is scheduled for November 6, 2015.
