According to a January 29, 2012 report, another UFO sighting has been reported in England. Billy Kirk lives on Ewart Street in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. That's where he spotted the stationary ball of intense white light in the dark night sky.
Scarborough Evening News reported that local UFO expert Russ Kellett was aware of several other recent UFO sightings in Oliver's Mount, an elevated area that overlooks Scarborough. “Around the Oliver’s Mount area we have had some very strange stories about balls of light. I’ve heard similar accounts to Billy’s in the past,” Kellett said.
Billy Kirk claimed that the UFO hovered at first, then moved away at an extraordinarily high speed. In the UFO expert's opinion, “Stationary objects taking off like that just shouldn’t happen. It couldn’t have been a shooting star or anything like that."
The witness was unable to take photographs or a video of the mysterious ball of light before it disappeared high above the town. He wants to know whether any other locals spotted the same strange phenomenon on Monday, January 23, 2012 at approximately 10:00 p.m.
There have not been any other reported incidents of a UFO over Scarborough in the past week. However, Teesdale Mercury reported that an elderly couple spotted a UFO on January 26, 2012 in Teesdale, County Durham, England.
