Another 'Teen Wolf' shocker: Isaac will not return for season four

Daniel Sharman as Isaac Lahey

Not even a full twenty-four hours after the ‘Teen Wolf’ season 3B finale, another shocking twist gets thrown out of left field that leaves fans with their heads spinning.

Executive producer, Jeff Davis, revealed exclusively to E! News that fan favorite, Isaac Lahey (Daniel Sharman), would not be returning in June when the new season premieres. Davis explains how the decision to exit was completely up to Daniel and how he wanted to branch out and pursue other endeavors. “Daniel Sharman came to us, much like Crystal did, and said that he wanted to go out for pilot season and for movies and try something new.” Davis stated. “He specifically asked that we not kill off Isaac, so that he could have the chance to return. He said he loved the role so much that he wanted to be able to come back if there was a chance.” In return, Davis said to him, “Well, if we can't convince you to come back, we'll definitely leave the door open for you.”

It’s comforting that there is a chance for him to return in the future, but it’s heart-rending that Isaac won’t be around until whenever that day comes.

(Warning, finale spoiler)

At least fans don’t have to mourn another character death.

Fan favorite, Allison Argent (Crystal Reed), was killed off in the March 17 episode, ‘Insatiable,’ and werewolf twin, Aiden (Max Carver), was killed off in the March 24 finale.

Isaac may not have been a series regular, technically, but it certainly felt like it to fans of the show. The season fourTeen Wolfnewcomers have some big shoes to fill.
