Weeks ago, a ten-year-old mixed breed dog was left by her owner at the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control facility in Baldwin Park, Calif.

Whoever left the dog did not even provide the facility with the senior dog's name.

The month of May has come and gone and June is almost halfway over...and still, this pretty senior sits in her solitary kennel run, waiting.

As is typical, the Petharbor profile for this dog offers very little information - the dog is estimated to be ten years of age and her breed is presumed to be a border collie mix. At the facility, she is known by her number, which is A4714857.

What A4714857 likes, loves or even fears - is a mystery, as is what her life consisted of before she was surrendered.
