Mild days and cool nights under clear skies are a great combination in the Tampa Bay area, but this time of year they come with a price: the pollen count can go through the roof. This weekend, Pollen.com's 4 day forecast projects pollen counts in the dark yellow medium-high range with oak being the biggest offender. Monday's forecast shows an increase into the bright red high range.
Weather-wise National Weather Service forecaster Richard Rude says in his short-term discussion high pressure is dominating Tampa Bay's weather picture at the moment. "A dry and stable air mass dominates the area with mostly clear, sunny skies although there may be some patchy late night fog. Moisture does increase enough for a few more clouds Sunday afternoon."
The seven-day forecast shows a pleasant weekend in store with highs in the low to mid 70s and lows in the mid to upper 50s and no mention of rain until Monday.
