Another mystery child has been found in a Greek Roma camp. On Oct. 24, NBC News reported that a second child in Greece (and a third in general this month) has been placed in protective custody. Police believe that a couple abducted the 2-month-old and were tipped off when they tried to get a birth certificate for the child but couldn't produce any hospital records.
"The initial evidence strongly indicates that they are not the parents," a police official told NBC News. A couple in their 20's has been charged with child abduction. This investigation is part of a sting of sorts that has uncovered an illegal "child selling" ring.
News that another mystery child was found in Greece hit the Internet yesterday and many are becoming really concerned that there could be tens of hundreds of children living illegally in these Roma camps. Parents who have filed "abducted children" cases here in The States (like the parents of Baby Lisa Irwin) are getting involved in these Roma camp discoveries because they wonder if their children could be one of the ones found in these camps.
The video above explains the first two Roma children taken by authorities.
