Another great benefit party for the Holidays supports Rwanda

Being that this is the Holidays season I like doing multiple posts on parties that benefit causes. This particular post is the first "Color Rwanda with Hope" ball hosted by members of LBI Syrup and Foundation Randa. Another person on hand was celebrity chef and Unicef Ambassador Marcus Samuelsson . You've read about Marcus's pet project and baby, the Red Rooster in Harlem in one of my recent posts.

The night was a rousing success as the crowd was entertained by the music of music savant DJ Rich Medina and DJ Akalepse. The crowd also saw performances from Chico Mann and Abena Koomsome.

While the music and drinks were flowing the crowd also saw original drawings and painting from young children from Rwanda. Many of these children were born from horrific rapes and many of their mothers were forced  to be sex slaves. I tell you this though there is nothing but hope and love in each one of these children's stories despite the incredible odds and circumstances they face.

Each of the books that they sell help to contribute to better healthcare, housing and education for each of these children.

If you would like to buy a book simply visit http://foundationrwanda.storenvy.com/products/209979-coloring-book.

Other than that enjoy the pics and remember to continue to share your blessings this holiday season.
