Recently I was introduced to a wonderful sustainable wood company called GROOVY STUFF, out of Dallas Texas. They specialize in reclaimed teak wood. Along with Mother Nature, yokes, plows, steel drums and wagons, they create beautiful lasting furniture and Home Décor.

They have a Groovystuff by Design division, that is a not-for-profit that connects leading US colleges and universities with design talent at the schools. It helps provide opportunities for the students to network with retailers, designers, suppliers and industry professionals.

Some of these students have created works of art such as stacking tables, table lamps, PATHOS Patio Chair, Coat Racks and many other beautiful pieces created and designed by the students at varying Universities.

What I like best is their ADIRONDACK chair that makes relaxing while seated a priority. Salvaged farm plows cut the wood for a perfect back pitch, while rice barrels are cut into wedges to help shape the lumbar additions.

Their textured mirrors, and bar stools provide a nature but elegant look for the any space.

In 2013 GROOVYSTUFF was awarded with the Creating Global Innovation Honor for Industry Achievement and Influence.

Chris Bruning, owner and founder bears his signature collection on his remarkable pieces.

A company not to be missed.
