Another female high school teacher has been arrested for sexual assault of her students, this time in Georgia. DaNita Wilson, 32, a ninth-grade teacher allegedly had sex with seven of her students where she taught math at Charlton County High School in Folkston, Georgia.
According to the “New York Daily News”, six of the seven students the high school math teacher had sex with were older than 16, the age of consent in Georgia, however, the seventh teen was only 15-years-old.
DaNita Wilson was arrested on Tuesday and charged with seven counts of sexual assault and suspended with pay from her teaching job at Charlton County High School. The Folkston school district’s superintendent is likely to recommend terminating her position at an upcoming employment hearing.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation noted some of the teacher/student sexual relations have been happening for at least a year or more with DaNita Wilson employed at the Charlton County High School for ten years now.
Wilson is not alone in violating the trust of parents and students as at least two other female high school teachers from other states have made headlines recently for the sexual assault of male minors.
The Georgia high school math teacher, DaNita Wilson, had bond set at $35,000; $5,000 for each of the seven counts of sexual assault against her students.
