It's minus a gazillion degrees outside, so, of course, it's time for Saturday's Maritime Festival.

Tuesday, February 18.

Here's that festival we mentioned: The Chicago Maritime Festival is at the Chicago History Museum, 1601 N. Clark St, Chicago, presented, as always, by Tom and Chris Kastle. Lots of all-day maritimey booths, and a constant music stage hosted by Lilli Kuzma of WDCB. 10 AM - 4 PM. Also, evening concert in the auditorium at 7 PM. All-day pass for $30.

Michael Smith, plus Sweeter Gift Trio, at Stained Glass Coffee House, 225 Wilmot Rd, Deerfield. 7 PM. $15.

Edie Holstein and Steve Dawson at The Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia, Chicago. 3 PM. $10 - $12.

Jazzman Jeff Justman and Howard Shraiberg at Johnny's Kitchen and Tap, 1740 Milwaukee Ave, Glenview. 7 PM.

Sunday, February 23.
