Another Execution Postponed this time in Georgia

Another execution has been postponed in Georgia, this time though. It was just 30 minutes before the execution was to have taken place. This was to be the execution of convicted murder Warren Hill.

Warren Hill also had an execution postponed last year this time the difference was though that all of the medical experts all agree that the 53 year old Hill is mentally retarded. This decision came after the Georgia Supreme Court and The US Supreme court all refused to stop the execution.

Mr. Hill escaped execution barely and in an essence by the skin of his teeth as he had already been administered drugs to calm him down for the actual execution. It was the 11th US Circuit Court of Appeals that postponed the execution.

I am wondering if this is a mistake because now this may be the new precedence for how the states decide who is retarded or mentally incapable and who is not able to stand trial or execution.

If the case has any new updates I will keep you posted.
