Virgin Books has acquired the UK rights to Tim Riley's upcoming new biography of John Lennon, titled "Lennon: The Man, the Myth, the Music: A Definitive Life," thebookseller.com reports. Hyperion Books will publish it in the U.S.
The book will be released in September, just before the 40th anniversary of the release of "Imagine." Thebookseller.com says the book will feature 50 photographs, including one previously unpublished picture with the Quarrymen and rare images of him as a child.
Riley is also the author of "Tell Me Why: The Beatles: Album by Album, Song by Song, the Sixties and After," an indepth analysis of the Beatles' catalog published in 2002.
