Another cold March weekend

High pressure over the Tennessee River Valley will be in control today on through Sunday with tranquil weather conditions. Scattered cloud cover can be expected through the weekend with winds from the northwest and west at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid 40′s over the interior and mid 40′s along the coast for highs today. Temperatures this weekend will range from the mid 20′s to lower 30′s for lows and mid 40′s to lower 50′s for highs.

An area of low pressure will track from the Tennessee River Valley to the Delaware coast on Monday morning. The track and intensify of this low pressure system is still uncertain. However, there is potential for accumulating snowfall, especially for higher elevations. The low pressure system will produce windy conditions and the threat for coastal flooding. While snow is likely for higher elevations, a mix of rain and snow or just rain is still possible along the coast. Temperatures on Monday will range from the upper 20′s to mid 30′s for lows. High temperatures on Monday will range from the mid to upper 30′s over the interior and lower to mid 40′s along the coast.

High pressure will take hold Tuesday through Thursday with scattered cloud cover and moderating temperatures. Temperatures will remain below normal though through the period. Low temperatures will range from the upper 20′s to lower 30′s over the interior and lower to mid 30′s along the coast. High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 40′s over the interior and upper 40′s to lower 50′s along the coast.
