Another Bully Buster Song: Lyrics & video

A Bully-Free Symbol created with PowerPoint
A Bully-Free Symbol created with PowerPoint

A song aimed to let bullies know it is NOT okay to bully, teach witnesses what to do should they see a bully bullying, and tricks that victims should utilize to help them become bully free. (This song is sung to the tune of ‘Sipping Cider Through A Straw’ that I learned at Camp Sky Wa Mo, a Girl Scout’s camp, back when I was a girl.) Read the lyrics. Watch the video on YouTube.

Lyrics to "Another Bully Buster Song:"

Verse 1: To the bully
It’s not okay. (Echo: It’s not okay.)
Not at night. Not at day. (Echo: Not a night. Not at day.)
To be a bully. (Echo: To be a bully.)
You’ll be lonely. You’ll be sorry. (Echo: You’ll be lonely. You’ll be sorry.)
It’s not okay. Not at night. Not at day-ay-ay.
To be a bully. You’ll be lonely. You’ll be sor-are-are-are-ry.

Verse 2: To the witness or bystander
Someone's bullied. You're a witness. (Echo: Someone's bullied. You're a witness.)
Put a stop to the rudeness. (Echo: Put a stop to the rudeness.)
Don't be shy. Don't be scared. (Echo: Don't be shy. Don't be scared.)
Be the one who really cared. (Echo: Be the one who really cared.)
Someone's bullied. You're a witness. Put a stop to the rudeness.
Don't be shy. Don't be scared. Be the one who really cared.

Verse 3: To the victim of bullying
Don't be a victim. (Echo: Don't be a victim.)
Instead use your wisdom. (Echo: Instead use your wisdom.)
Know the tricks you should use. (Echo: Know the tricks you should use.)
So you don't get abused. (Echo: So you don't get abused.)
Don't be a victim. Instead use your wisdom.
Know the tricks you should use. So you don't get abused.

Verse 4: To the victim of bullying
When you stand up straight, (Echo: When you stand up straight,)
You look really great. (Echo: You look really great.)
When you shrink and slump, (Echo: When you shrink and slump,)
You look down in the dumps. (Echo: You look down in the dumps.)
When you stand up straight, you look really great.
When you shrink and slump, you look down in the dumps.

Verse 5: To the victim of bullying
When you look 'em in the eye, (Echo: When you look 'em in the eye,)
No one picks on that guy. (Echo: No one picks on that guy.)
'Cuz you look calm and cool, (Echo: 'Cuz you look calm and cool,)
Like you're nobody's fool. (Echo: Like you're nobody's fool.)
When you look 'em in the eye, no one picks on that guy.
'Cuz you look calm and cool, like you're nobody's fool.

Verse 6: To the victim of bullying
When you laugh and you smile, (Echo: When you laugh and you smile,)
Makes you feel worthwhile. (Echo: Makes you feel worthwhile.)
When you smile from the heart, (Echo: When you smile from the heart,)
Makes you extra smart. (Echo: Makes you extra smart.)
When you laugh and you smile, makes you feel worthwhile.
When you smile from the heart, makes you extra smart.

Repeat Verse 3: To the victim of bullying
Don't be a victim. (Echo: Don't be a victim.)
Instead use your wisdom. (Echo: Instead use your wisdom.)
Know the tricks you should use. (Echo: Know the tricks you should use.)
So you don't get abused. (Echo: So you don't get abused.)
Don't be a victim. Instead use your wisdom.
Know the tricks you should use. So you don't get abused.
