Another bag garden (Photos)

Here is another example of a "bag garden," developed and photographed by Clydette M. Alsup-Egbers, Associate Professor, Horticulture, Missouri State University.

The outline of the garden is made by laying the bags of potting soil directly onto the ground. You can use any type of design you want. Next you make sure there are holes or other type of openings in the bottom of the bags.

Open the tops of the bags and plant with either annuals or perennials into the soil. Mulch in the entire area, making sure to cover all the plastic from the bags. Keep the area watered, fertilized and weeded.

Viola`- instant garden!!
