Another arctic blast coming to West Michigan

Behind a strong cold front another blast of arctic air will slide into West Michigan.

Cold & Snow
Grand Rapids Weather Examiner

For Sunday West Michigan will be ahead of the front dealing with a very gusty wind from the south. This wind will produce some blowing and drifting of the loose snow.

The front will slide across the state Sunday night into Monday Morning. Some lake effect snow showers will develop behind the front but should be confined to the immediate lakeshore and areas west of US-131.

The coldest day from this next round of arctic air will likely be on Tuesday. Early Tuesday morning, temperatures inland away from the lakeshore will likely dip below zero with wind chill readings even tumbling to -15° to -20°. Afternoon highs will only reach 10° to 15°.

The cold and snow will likely hang around for the rest of the month and even into February.
