The heat and humidity in the F-M region may be keeping some residents indoors with the AC on full blast. The first bit of good news is that the forecast predicts a cool down and a drop in humidity. The second bit of good news is that the Red River Watercolor Society is giving people a great reason to get outside and enjoy the mild weather.

Wed., July 7 and Thurs., July 8 RRWS presents the 2010 annual 8th Street Art Show and Sale at Shotwells Floral and Garden Center, 1302 8th St. South Fargo. Each day the show runs from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

This year’s show and sale features work from more than 40 regional artists, according to the Fargo-Moorhead Visual Artists website.

Although the event is sponsored by RRWS, the event features a wide variety of artwork, including acrylic, oil and watercolor paintings, fiber art, jewelry, photography, glass, tile, pottery , metal work and mixed-media pieces, according to Inforum.
