Annual Grammy nominees compilation album highlights upcoming 55th Grammy Awards (Photos)

Capitol Records and The Recording Academy's Grammy Recordings will release the 2013 Grammy Nominees album on Jan. 22, 2013. Music fans will be able to gear up for the awards by, listening to the album, marking a look back at an incredible year in music.

Grammy enthusiasts will receive two chances to attend the 55th or the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

The album features 22 critically acclaimed smash hits from a wide range of chart-topping artists from various genres. The Emmy Award-winning Grammy Awards show flaunts the most diverse range of musical genres of any awards show, and is the only one in which winners are voted on by their peers.

The 19th edition of the best-selling collection features many of the most widely recognized Grammys categories representing nominees for Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, and Best Rock Album.

The album is made possible by a special arrangement with all of the major music distribution companies and rotates labels from year to year.

A portion of the proceeds from the album benefit the MusiCares Foundation, and the Grammy Foundation, which are two of the charitable organizations established by The Recording Academy.

In conjunction with this year's Grammy Nominees album, Capitol Records and The Recording Academy will offer two opportunities to attend the annual Grammy Awards.

When pre-ordering the 2013 Grammy Nominees album at the special website www.grammy.com/2013grammyalbum by Jan. 21, fans can enter to win a trip to the 55th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 10, 2013.

Additionally, providing another chance to win tickets to Music's Biggest Night, each 2013 Grammy Nominees album purchased in stores will include a special game piece featuring a unique entry code for the Grammy Ticket Game.

To participate, the code must be entered at www.grammy.com/2013grammyalbum for the chance to win a trip for two to the 56th Annual Grammy Awards in 2014. The second-place winner will receive other official Grammy Awards merchandise and swag.

The MusiCares Foundation, which will receive funding from sales of the album, offers programs and services to members of the music community including emergency financial assistance for basic living expenses such as rent, utilities and car payments; medical expenses including doctor, dentist and hospital bills.

MusiCares offers nationwide educational workshops covering a variety of subjects, including financial, legal, medical, and substance abuse issues, and programs in collaboration with healthcare professionals that provide services such as flu shots, hearing tests, and medical/dental screenings.

The MusiCares MAP Fund allows access to addiction recovery treatment and sober living resources for members of the music community.

Staffed by qualified chemical dependency and intervention specialists, MusiCares Safe Harbor Rooms, supported by the Bohemian Foundation, offer a support network to those in recovery while they are participating in the production of televised music shows and other major music events.

MusiCares holds weekly addiction support groups for people to discuss how to best cope with the issues surrounding the recovery process. The MusiCares Sober Touring Network is a database of individuals across the United States who can take music people to recovery support meetings while on the road.

Established in 1989 by The Recording Academy, MusiCares provides a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need. Its services and resources cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies, and each case is treated with integrity and confidentiality.

The 55th Annual Grammy Awards will be held Sunday, Feb. 10 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. It will be broadcast live in high-definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network from 8 – 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
