Annual goodbye to Atlanta’s pets

Paws, Whiskers & Wags http://www.PawsWhiskersandWags.com, the pet crematory in Decatur, Ga., has invited their 2012 clients to remember their animals in the eighth annual The Life of Your Pet, January 27, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Maloof Auditorium, 1300 Commerce Drive in Decatur. About 500 people are expected to attend to celebrate the memory of their pets.
“We have a slide show of pictures that clients have sent to us of their babies we have taken care of in 2012,” said Amanda Pollard, Sales and Marketing Manager. Following the photo tribute for all the pets lost last year, “we have a guest speaker who gives a little pep talk, and then we have a candlelight vigil.”
Dr. Mark Dorfman, a veterinarian from Georgia Veterinary Specialists http://www.gvsvet.com, will be the guest speaker. Several nonprofit organizations devoted to animal welfare will be on hand to provide information.
Paws, Whiskers & Wags cremates each pet individually so that their owners know that they’ve received their own pet’s ashes. They offer same-day services so that people who have lost their pets can have them return home without a wait. They will also make referrals to vets who can arrange for euthanasia at home.
While most of their clients come to them with dogs and cats, Paws, Whiskers & Wags provides services for pets of all species.
