The annual Country Music Marathon & 1/2 Marathon also known as the St. Jude Country Music Marath, will bring walkers, runners, wheelchairs, kids and guests to the streets of Nashville on Sat., April 26, 2014. Participants in the 2.6 mile mini marathon will kick things off at 6:45 a.m. followed at 7a.m. by the main event--the 26.2-mile Marathon and 13.1-mile 1/2 Marathon through Music City.
Founded in 2000, the course typically begins in Centennial Park and takes walkers and runners past 28 stages with live music as participants take routes from Lower Broadway to LP Field, through Nashville neighborhoods like 12South, East Nashville, and Downtown, passing landmarks including the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, TN State Capitol, Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Bicentennial Mall, Shelby Park, and more.
