Announcing 3 Book Thursdays

Every Thursday, beginning this week, PdxWrite will feature three new books.

Each feature will include cover-art, a brief synopsis of the book, a short author's bio, and a link to the author's website or a bookstore page.

Fiction or non-fiction, any genre, as long as I (and my decision is final, btw) don't find it to be offensive in nature or of unacceptably low quality. I'm a pretty open-minded guy, so don't sweat this part, it's just a CYA statement on my part, lol.

The only guidelines are:

1. One book, per author, per Thursday.
2. Books must be available for purchase, online, in a hard-copy format.*
3. Book information and links must be provided by the author only.

*If you have an eBook version available as well, I'll include both links

If you can meet these guidelines, I'd love to feature your book!

Here's what you do: Send an email to perry (at) pdxwrite.com and include:

1. Book title and ISBN (if available)
2. Link to where the book can be purchased online, preferably Amazon.com, as well as the list price.
3. Cover-art in JPEG file (or I can copy it from the website, if available)
4. A short (1/2 - 1 paragraph) synopsis of the story. Back cover blurb is usually fine.
5. Even shorter (2-3 sentence) author's bio, including (if available) your Twitter name.

Please see the example, below.

Features will be posted on a first-come, first serve basis, but I will answer every email with an estimated publication date.

If you have any questions, please post them below (so everyone can see the answers) and please DO NOT use the comments area (below) to post information on your book. Book information and feature requests MUST be emailed to the address above. Any such information posted below will be deleted.

Thanks!

-Perry

Title: Elk Hunter's Don't Cry
Author: Perry P. Perkins

Synopsis:
It's a well-known fact that outdoorsmen, elk hunters in particular, don't cry. In fact, not so many years ago this was considered a badge of honor, a mark of courage for young hunters to aspire to as they watched their fathers and uncles grimace manfully in the face of pain. I've seen several of my own hunting friends take tumbles in rocky riverbeds, gash themselves with skinning knives, and char various portions of their anatomies in campfires...all without a single tear. Some of them defoliated large tracts of national forest with white-hot profanity, but none ever cried...
