Just in time for the highly-anticipated release of her latest book in the Vampire Chronicles, author Anne Rice will be making an appearance at next month’s Toronto Book Fair.
The Inspire! Toronto International Book Fair will be hosting a number of high-profile authors, with Anne appearing on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. on the INSPIRE! Main Stage.
Rice will be there to promote Prince Lestat, the latest book in her highly-popular and award-winning Vampire Chronicles series. Picking up where The Vampire Lestat left off more than a quarter of a century ago, Prince Lestat details the rousing of Old vampires who fall under the spell of a Voice commanding that they indiscriminately burn vampire-mavericks in cities from Paris and Mumbai to Hong Kong, Kyoto, and San Francisco.
The publisher has decided not to offer advanced reviewer copies, and Anne herself feels that's a good idea.
“Though I do love giving early copies to people, I think the publisher is wise,” the author posted to fans on her Facebook page. “Do we really want a very few people weighing in on the story before others can read it and make up their own minds?”
In an extensive interview with Collider.Com at ComicCon, Anne revealed that old favorites like Louis and Armand make appearances in the book, which includes locales such as New York, France, Turkey, Tokyo and Egypt.
The book will be released just in time for Halloween on October 28, so book lovers will surely be buzzing when the author joins them at Inspire!
General Admission tickets to the event are available starting at $10 and will allow entrants in for all events from Friday, November 14 to Sunday, November 16.
