Anne of Green Gables is sci-fi free

Short stories are good, but sometimes longer reads are worth the investment. You may not know who Lucy Maud Montgomery is, but you have probably heard of her most famous work: Anne of Green Gables. Her series of books about Anne gained her an international following and her series of books were made in to movies and a series. Anne of Green Gables was the first book in a series of books about a character named Anne Shirley. The book was originally published in 1908.

Though Anne of Green Gables is sometimes thought of as children’s literature, the content of the story makes it a book that is appropriate for many different age levels.

Anne Shirley was an orphan. She is distinguished by her personality and her red hair. She was adopted by Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert. Marilla and Matthew are sister and brother. They live at Green Gables. Green Gables becomes Anne’s home. The story follows Anne’s experiences as she grows from a young child to a young woman.

The story has an innocence about it that makes it a good read for anyone. Discover Anne of Green Gables.

This is one of my favorite stories. This is a really big hit in Japan. People from Japan come over to Prince Edward Island - in Canada and tour Green Gables.

It doesn't get any better than Anne of Green Gables. I have watched & read countless times and never get tired of it! When I was younger I used to dream of Gilbert! :)
