Anne Hathaway’s nipples and emotional speeches too much? (Video)

Seth MacFarlane couldn’t have said it any better, “We saw your boobs.” Or shall we say, “sang”, and maybe nipples would be a more appropriate term to use regarding Anne Hathaway’s chest at the 2013 Oscars. However, Anne Hathaway’s chest at the Oscars may be the least of her worries in recent times. US Weekly reported today that she has also been criticized for, “What some believe is a false, cloying sense of earnestness in her awards show appearances.”

30 year-old Hathaway, a newly Best Supporting Actress Oscar winner, told US Weekly the jokes about her emotional acceptance speeches get to her. Despite the critical acclaim in recent months for her amazing performance in the epic movie musical Les Miserables, many people have been expressing their annoyance with the seemingly over-emotional, anti-genuine acceptance speeches.

The social media has been abuzz lately with Anne as the topic, so much so that a Twitter handle (@HathawayNipples) was created and has acquired thousands of followers already, according to the Huffington Post. Hathaway seems to be handling this new attention gracefully, however she did admit to feeling the backlash. Regarding her recent acceptance speeches, Hathaway told US Weekly, “It does get to me, but you have to remember in life that there's a positive to every negative and a negative to every positive.”
